✨ ASHBY 20 — THANK YOU FROM YOUR LOCAL POLICE ✨

We would like to thank everyone for their time, patience and understanding during yesterday’s Ashby 20 run.

With road closures stretching throughout Ashby — including Swepstone, Heather, Normanton and Packington — we know the event caused delays, detours and the occasional last‑minute route change. With 19 of the 20 miles affected by closures, your cooperation really helped us keep everything running smoothly and safely.

We’re also proud to say that one of our very own took part in the challenge — Sgt BELL, who swapped his uniform for running gear and was off like a siren! 🚨
He kept a steady pace, didn’t exceed any “speed limits,” and we can confirm there were no reports of him resisting a rest at the finish line! 👟
And although he normally catches offenders, this time he was just catching his breath!

A huge thank you once again to residents, runners, volunteers and marshals for helping us keep the event safe, supported and “by the book.” 👮‍♂️💙
